HS girls basketball: Clear Creek defeats St. Agnes
Clear Creek defeated St. Agnes 52-48 in girls basketball action on Thursday.
Clear Creek had to overcome a 31-25 score at the half, and did so with a forceful 19-3 third quarter. Still, St. Agnes was in it until the end, falling just short in the fourth.
With the win, Clear Creek went to 5-4 on the season.
Senior Adrienne Phillips, a 6-foot, 1-inch forward, scored a game-high 18 points to lead her team.
Clear Creek next visits Clear Springs in district 24-5A action on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
St. Agnes evened up its record at 2-2 in the loss.
Amber Cooper, a 6-foot, 4-inch junior forward, scored 16 points to lead her team in the loss.
St. Agnes next visits CHSA on Friday at 7 p.m.
