HS boys basketball: Clear Springs defeats Friendswood
The Clear Springs Chargers (5-4) defeated the Friendswood Mustangs (5-4) 55-47 Monday in boys basketball.
Clear Springs is ranked No. 20 in the state for Class 5A.
The Chargers trailed 29-22 at halftime but rebounded in the second half, outscoring Friendswood 33-18 to claim victory.
Clear Springs' Jeff Beverly led all players in scoring with 18 points while Friendswood 6-foot, 4-inch senior guard Jackson Griffon led the Mustangs in scoring with 16 points in defeat.
