HS boys basketball: Falcons fall to second-ranked La Marque
The Clear Lake Falcons (4-3) were defeated by the La Marque Cougars (6-1) 78-63 Saturday in the Carlisle/Krueger boys basketball tournament.
La Marque is ranked No. 2 in the state for Class 4A. The Cougars led 52-39 at half and ensured the victory outscoring Clear Lake 26-24 during the second half. Sophomore Paris Clayton led Clear Lake in scoring with 17 points and junior guard Rob Lewis contributed 16 points during the Falcons loss. Texas commitment and La Marque star guard Julien Lewis led all players in scoring with 32 points. Up Next: Clear Lake visits Deer Park Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.Related Stories
