Three people were arrested Monday night as part of a drug investigation by
the Friendswood Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety,
Friendswood police announced.

Christopher Hearen, 34, of Texas City; Shana Barger, 34, of Texas City; and
Jay Hensiek Jr., 40, of Alvin, are all charged with drug possession. Police
say the three were apprehended during a traffic stop in the 2900 block of
League City on Monday at 8:11 p.m.

According to police, officers discovered that Hearen had a suspended license
and an outstanding Harris County warrant on narcotics charges. Officers also
say they found 10.13 grams of methamphetamine and 16 doses of hydrocodone
during a search of the car.

The Friendswood Police Department noted in a press release that it typically
makes six arrests per year on meth charges, but has made about 30 such
arrests this year.
