League City to hold "Oil and Gas Drilling Town Hall Meeting"
League City will hold an educational workshop to inform League City citizens about oil and gas drilling in the community.
The "Oil and Gas Drilling Town Hall Meeting" will consist of short presentations from experts on legal, industry and environmental issues concerning oil and gas drilling.
Citizens will have the opportunity to ask specific questions and get answers from all sides on the topic. Representatives from other cities that have established oil and gas drilling programs also will be on hand to provide insight. Questions for the panel can be submitted in advance by visiting www.leaguecity.com/drilling.
There will be limited seating in the council chambers on the night of the event, but the meeting will be broadcast live on LCTV-16 and www.leaguecity.com. A live chat feature will be available on our web site for residents to submit questions.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m. in the League City Council Chambers, 200 W. Walker.
