Visitors bureau names new officers

The Bay Area Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau voted in new officers for the 2010-11 term.
Greg Collins, representing the City of Kemah, was named the new incoming Chairman.
The Vice-Chair position is being filled by Michael Blum, General Manager of the Hilton Houston Clear Lake in Nassau Bay.
Stacey Osborne was voted in as Treasurer. She is the Economic Development Coordinator for La Porte.
League City's South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center's Director of Sales and Catering Bridget Bear will serve as Secretary.
Michael Giangrosso, General Manager of Seabrook's Comfort Suites, is the Immediate Past Chair.
"We are very pleased to have elected a dedicated and talented slate of officers to lead the organization into the next year," said Pam Summers, BAHCVB president. "Their knowledge of the area and of the travel industry is sure to prove beneficial as we continue efforts to bolster our destination marketing organization and local tourism to the region."
