Nassau Bay woman charged with aggravated assault with firearm

A Nassau Bay woman has been arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm after a domestic disturbance at her home.

Nassau Bay Police say they took Diane C. Silva, 57, into custody at her house in the 1600 block of Saxony Lane on Saturday evening. Officers say the woman had a Smith & Wesson .357 caliber revolver in her possession at the time.

Silva was taken into custody on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. Police say Silva's 57-year-old husband was home with her when the alleged assault happened just after 6 p.m. The two were reportedly involved in a domestic dispute, but investigators did not provide any details about the altercation.
