Clear Lake alum speaks to O'Bannon High School
Sergeant Benjamin Graves, an Army Reservist, spoke at O'Bannon High School's annual Veterans Day program today at 9:30 a.m.
The theme behind Sgt. Graves' speech was people being responsible and honest in their pursuits when living up to their own expectations, instead of taking shortcuts.
Sgt. Graves joined the military in January 1995 after graduating from Clear Lake High School in Houston. Currently, he is attached to the 380th Engineer Company CSB in Greenville, Mississippi. He is Army trained as a biomedical engineer and a heavy equipment engineer.
He has been stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Hood, Texas; and Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He has also been deployed to Tonga and Bosnia.
Sgt. Graves is married, has three children and is currently employed at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi, as a Biomedical Engineer.
