Clear Lake grad completes army training
Gregory L. Demeny, a 2010 Clear Lake High School alumnus, graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia.
Army National Guard Pfc. Demeny completed nine weeks of training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.
The soldier also completed training in the development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics. He experienced the use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewmen.
Demeny is the son of Karen Demeny of Seabrook and the grandson of Roger Demeny of Banff, Houston.
