City of Kemah to honor veterans
The City of Kemah will hold the Wounded Warrior and Veterans Appreciation Celebration Nov. 11 to 14.
With the help of Houston's Bay Area communities and generous donors, the Wounded Warriors and Veterans Appreciation Celebration will bring veterans and their families to Kemah, Texas, for four days filled with an array of military and land activities. Static displays, a fishing tournament, an appreciation ceremony, barbecue feasts and live music are some of the highlights of the fun and exciting patriotic weekend.
The Wounded Warrior Kemah Project is a family-oriented event not just for Kemah and the Bay Area, but for the whole state of Texas, designed to help soldiers and their families participate in relaxing, family-oriented activities. Wounded soldiers will get a relaxing weekend away from the hospital.
Checks for entries and donations can be made payable to Bayshore VFW Post #8566 and can be mailed to Kemah Visitor Center, 604 Bradford, Kemah, Texas 77586.
For more information, call Heather Hardwick at 832-531-5797 or Barbara Ward at 713-560-8253 or Domino Taylor at 281-334-3181.
