Clear Creek grad aids Utah in dominating win over Colorado State
Jereme Brooks, a 2007 Clear Creek HS graduate, had another productive day for Utah in its 59-6 win over Colorado State on Saturday. Brooks led in receptions with seven catches for 61-yards.
Utah's offensive explosion of 648 yards of total offense was good enough for the fifth-best total in school history.
Brooks leads the team with 32 receptions on the season. He is second on the team with 418 yards receiving and four touchdown grabs.
He was first-team all-district as a junior and senior at Clear Creek. He was named honorable mention all-state, first-team Texas Prepstar.com, and first-team all-Galveston County. His 70 receptions led the greater Houston area. Brooks was named three-time MVP of Clear Creek High School
He is the son of Warren Brooks and Judy James.
Brooks and Utah will take on Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Saturday, followed by TCU, Notre Dame, San Diego State and finishing with the Holy War against BYU.
Utah is No.7 in the Coaches Poll and No.8 in the BCS Standings.
