Clear Brook defeats Clear Lake 43-36 in double OT
The Clear Brook Wolverines (5-3) defeated the Clear Lake Falcons (3-5) in double overtime Friday night.
Clear Brook quarterback Matt Heidt tied the game 29-29 on a two-yard touchdown run with under one minute remaining in the game and won the contest in double overtime with a four-yard rushing score.
Heidt also passed for a touchdown to Derek Tran and combined for 91 yards.
Chargers' running backs Arthur Caudillo and Jeremy Mikes combined for 163 rushing yards and each also had a rushing touchdown. Mikes score gave Clear Brook the lead during the first overtime.
Clear Lake quarterback Karson Roberts sent the game into double overtime with a 25-yard touchdown sprint. Roberts also threw a touchdown pass to Connor Shannon and finished with 137 combined yards while also throwing an interception.
The Wolverines' Sean McCraney had a strong game averaging more than 12-yards per carry. McCraney also had a touchdown run and compiled 114 yards rushing.
Michael Bernay and Justin Jordan complimented McCraney nicely and each had a touchdown run while combining for 123 yards rushing.
