Chargers Brandon Mickens commits to Kansas State
Clear Springs linebacker/defensive end Brandon Mickens made a strong verbal commitment on Tuesday to attend Kansas State University.
The 6'4" 195 lbs. Mickens is a dexterous defender whose angular frame has allowed to deflect three passes this season while also
causing a fumble and recovering a fumble for the 5-2 Chargers.
Mickens has compiled 53 tackles and 4.5 sacks this season including a 15 tackle performance against Bryan High School on September 3.
Kansas State coach Bill Snyder will have to do without the talented defender until at least 2013 as Mickens will first attend junior college.
