Clear Creek hosts Alvin Thursday in district football
The Clear Creek Wildcats (5-2) host the Alvin Yellowjackets (1-6) Thursday in district football competition.
Clear Creek was defeated 35-28 last week by Pearland while Alvin lost their fourth consecutive game a 35-21 defeat to Dickinson.
Clear Creek's C.J. McElroy is having an impressive season.
McElroy is averaging over nine-yards per carry while also having rushed, passed, and received for scores. He has 14 rushing touchdowns and
833 rushing yards this season.
Colby Davis has also had a strong year complimenting McElroy with a combined nine touchdowns and 600 yards. Davis had a pair of touchdowns
during last weeks close loss to Pearland.
Wildcats quarterback Chris Collins has combined for five touchdowns and 849 yards while also having thrown one interception..
Collins top target is Trevin Jones who leads Clear Creek with two touchdown receptions and 303 receiving yards.
Alvin running back Corey Jackson is averaging over four-yards per carry and has two touchdown runs while also compiling 450 rushing yards this
season.
Yellowjackets quarterback Josh Erwin has combined for three touchdowns and over 300 yards while also having thrown five interceptions.
Luis Luchega and Sordia Jose are Erwin's top targets and have combined for 96 receiving yards while each has had a touchdown reception.
