Sam's Boat cited with health violation
A Clear Lake restaurant was issued violations from health inspectors after an Oct. 7 inspection.
Sam's Boat restaurant, located at 3101 Nasa Road 1, in Seabrook, was issued the violations by Harris County inspectors due to their associations with the spread of food-borne illnesses.
Sam's Boat was also issued violations in a February 2010 inspection, which warranted a follow-up visit by inspectors. The violations at that time included inadequate hand washing and improper handling of food. Inspectors did not observe similar problems on their next visit in March.
On Oct. 7, inspectors issued Sam's Boat with six demerits on a 0 to 100 scale. The total number of violations was not high enough to warrant further action or a return visit by inspectors.
