Channelview alum leads N.D. State offense
Channelview HS 2007 grad D.J. McNorton led the North Dakota State Bison offense in its 34-24 loss to Illinois State on Saturday.
McNorton rushed for 133 yards on 20 carries and scored one touchdown. That puts him at 730 yards and five TDs for the season.
The junior sports management major is the son of Darren and the late Tonya McNorton.
McNorton was a first-team 5A all-district selection his senior year at Channelview HS. He rushed for 1,915 yards and 16 touchdowns in two years, including a 1,130-yard senior campaign.
North Dakota State will play Indiana State at home on Saturday. Kick off is at 3 p.m.
