Attempted car burglary foiled by owner

The League Police Department is investigating an attempted burglary of a motor vehicle at the 200 block of South Gulf Freeway, which occurred on Oct. 11 at approximately 5:10 p.m.

Officer J.Q. Hodges reported that a Hispanic male attempted to burglarize a Ford F-250, but was scared away by the owner, 23-year-old Matthew Julius Sauser.

The suspect is described as being a 5-foot, 8-inch white Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 30. He was driving a red Chevrolet Silverado bearing Texas registration number 62SDV7.

The plate is believed to be registered to a Ford truck in San Antonio.
