Clear Creek visits perfect Pearland in district Donnybrook Friday night
The Pearland Oilers (6-0) host the Clear Creek Wildcats (5-1) Friday night.
The Oilers defeated Dickinson on the road 44-31 last week and enter Friday’s matchup averaging 40 points per game while allowing opponents 28 points per game. The Pearland offense is averaging 210 passing yards and 247 rushing yards per game while the defense is averaging more than 43 tackles per game.
Oilers quarterback Trey Anderson is having an outstanding year and boasts a quarterback rating of 134. Williams has 15 touchdowns and has only thrown two interceptions in over 100 attempts while passing for over 1,200 yards.
Pearland running back Dustin Garrison is averaging 196 rushing yards per game and has 15 touchdowns. Receiver Myles Kanipes has 455 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions.
The Oilers' Marquise Sandles is averaging 38 yards per kickoff return while Kendall Ehrlich has a team leading 54 tackles.
Clear Creek defeated Brazoswood 41-21 last week and are averaging more than 35 points per game while allowing opponents 17 points per game. The Wildcats suffered their only defeat this season at Dickinson on September 24 (37-14).
Wildcats running back C.J. McElroy has 15 touchdowns and is averaging 149 rushing yards per game. Clear Creek's Trevin Jones has two touchdown receptions and is averaging 15 yards a catch.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm at The Rig.
