Volleyball Preview: Clear Springs at Clear Brook

The Clear Springs Chargers (9-16) visit the Clear Brook Wolverines (17-13) Tuesday at 6:30 pm.

Clear Springs defeated Clear Brook three games to two in their last meeting September 17.

Clear Springs 5'6" senior Samone Boyd is having a strong year and has 129 of the team's 202 kills this year averaging 3.49 kills per game.

Setting Boyd up is 5'6" senior Caleigh Oswald one of the area's best setters.

Mallory Wise leads the Chargers with a 3.7 kills per game average while Taylor Zink has added 27 kills for Clear Springs. Zink had twelve of her kills during an agonizing five game loss to Brazoswood earlier this month.

Clear Brook is led by 6'0" senior Alicia Dittrich who was a 2009 All-District third team selection. She has 160 kills and is averaging 4.85 kills per game.

2009 All-District second team selection Anita Permenter is having another fine season. The 5'9" junior has 90 kills and is averaging 4.29 kills per game.

5'11" senior Caiti O'Connell has 39 kills and is averaging 3.55 kills per game.
