Volleyball Preview: Clear Lake at Alvin

The Clear Lake Falcons (28-9) visit the Alvin Yellowjackets (12-23) Tuesday night at 6:30 pm.

Clear Lake defeated Alvin three games to none in their last meeting September 17 and are undefeated (11-0) in district play.

The Falcons are led by 2009 All-District first team selection Kate Foley and 2009 District 24-5A Newcomer of the Year Kiara Wright.

The 5'11" Foley and 5'10" junior Haley Satterwhite have a combined 360 kills while the 5'10" junior Wright leads Clear Lake with 442 kills and a 4.42 kills per game average.

5'4" senior Elayni Stokes has had an impressive year and leads the Falcons with 347 digs averaging 4.08 digs per game.

Alvin has a standout of their own in junior Jenna Paul. The 5'9" outside hitter leads the Yellowjackets with 361 kills and is averaging 3.97 kills per game.

Paul was a 2009 All-District first team selection.

5'9" junior Madelyn Johnson has had a nice season for alvin and has an impressive 445 digs this season averaging 4.89 digs per game.
