Channelview's McNorton leads NDSU offense in win
Channelview HS graduate (2007) D.J. McNorton had a career day for the North Dakota State Bison in their 34-29 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday.
McNorton led the Bison in both rushing and receiving yards on the day. He rushed for 90 yards on 17 carries, and caught a career high six passes for 131 yards, including a four-yard TD catch.
He now has four rushing TDs and two receiving TDs on the year.
The junior sports management major is the son of Darren and the late Tonya McNorton.
McNorton was a first-team 5A all-district selection his senior year at Channelview HS. He rushed for 1,915 yards and 16 touchdowns in two years, including a 1,130-yard senior campaign.
North Dakota State travels to Illinois State on Saturday, Oct. 16. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. CST.
