Friendswood's Carpenter has 10 kills in Eastern NM win

Friendswood High School graduate Megan Carpenter had 10 kills to help lead the Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State Saturday evening at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Tournament in Odessa.
Carpenter currently is fourth on the team in kills, with 115, and the team is now 8-9 on the season.
A 2008 graduate of Friendswood HS, Carpenter was part of the undefeated 2006 Junior Varsity Volleyball team that went on to win the District Championship.
The Zias will host Midwestern State University on Thursday.
