Division I talent on display Thursday night
Houston recruit C.J. McElroy has 308 combined yards on the season.
The League City Clear Creek Wildcats 4-1 overall host the Brazoswood Buccaneers 3-2 overall in a district matchup Thursday night.
The Wildcats defeated Clear Brook 38-23 last week and are led by speedy (4.4/40) Houston Cougar commitment C.J. McElroy. The receiver has 308 combined yards and four touchdowns on the season including a 74-yard touchdown pass against Pasadena Memorial during week one.
Brazoswood lost to Dickinson 20-14 last week and are counting on running back Rickey Lunford to carry the load against the surging Wildcats. Lunford has received scholarship offers from Boise St. and Oklahoma St. among others.
Missouri recruit Clarence Green leads the Buccaneers defensively and boasts 4.4 speed in the 40 and a 36 inch vertical.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm at Veterans Stadium.
