Clear Lake's McNary wins sacks honor for Army
Clear Lake grad Josh McNary was a Defensive Lineman Performer of the Week honorable mention selection by the College Football Performance Awards for his three-sack effort in the Army vs. Hawaii game last Saturday.
Army lost the game 28-31 in a hard fought battle.
McNary holds Army's quarterback sacks records in a game with four, in a season at 12.5 and the career record at 18. He established all three records last season.
His 149 career tackles earned him a selection to Phil Steele's 2010 Preseason All-Independent First Team this spring. He was also named to the 2010 Lott Trophy and Nagurski Trophy preseason watch lists.
As a Clear Lake defensive lineman, he led the team in sacks and was an All-district selection in his senior year.
