Honeywell Lunar Rendezvous Run
Space Center Houston will host the annual Honeywell Lunar Rendezvous Run on July 18.
Volunteers are needed for the race starting at 6 a.m. Volunteers will help with race set up and take down activities, hand out refreshments, assist with parking duties and help with crowd control.
The running race is a part of the Lunar Rendezvous Foundation and Festival, a non-profit organization that preserves the historical lore and space science accomplishments of the Bay Area.
Funds raised through festival activities support area schools, libraries, museums, cultural arts organizations and such charitable projects as A Visit From Saint Nicholas and Operation School Bell.
Volunteer Houston Bay Area matches individuals and groups with volunteer opportunities at more than 250 local nonprofit organizations that need help to carry out their mission. Call 281-282-6035 or visit http://www.volunteerhouston.us/bay/ for more information.
