Family physician Efrain Soto joins St. John's staff

Dr. Efrain Soto, a board-certified family medicine physician, recently joined the medical staff of Christus St. John Hospital.
Soto's office, Park Lakes Family Medicine, P.A. is at 1305 W. Parkwood Avenue, Suite A107, Friendswood.
Soto completed his family medicine residency in October 2008 from San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, where he was awarded the I-Care Values Award.
He completed his medical education at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida after relocating to Florida and receiving a medical degree from Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic.
Born and raised in Cuba where he finished his undergraduate studies and initial medical education, Soto is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, American Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society of Family Physicians and the American Professional Wound Care Association. He recently was awarded the Patients' Choice Award for 2008.
