Where are all the long lines and aggravation?

I planned to go over and get my license plates like an all-day field trip. I packed snacks and coloring books for the kid, took the dog out one last time and made sure she had a bowl of fresh water. I got my comfortable shoes and was ready to stand like a champion stander.
Bring on the line around the block," I thought. I was prepared to blog about the ensuing ordeal in detail.
The ladies who worked at the facility were polite and helpful, and the whole errand was actually pleasant. The trip took a total of twenty minutes from the time I left my front door to the time I came back with my new plates in hand.
I'm sure if I tell me friends and family in Illinois one more time how wonderful it is here with it's no line standing, electronic stores with space shuttles inside, unemployment under ten percent, and eighty degree weather one more time, they are going to stop believing me altogether.
