Stabbing victim seeks help at fire station
From the Friendswood Police Department:
A Texas City man was stabbed during a domestic argument with another man in the 1600 block of Lundy Lane at approximately 12:15 a.m. Saturday morning.
George Pendleton Jr., 17, was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He was booked into the Friendswood municipal jail pending transfer to the Galveston County Jail. His bond is set at $80,000.
Police officers were dispatched to Friendswood Fire Station # 2 located at 2605 W. Parkwood to investigate the report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival police officers found a 19-year old male who reported to police that he had been stabbed by his 17-year-old male companion.
The victim told police that the two became involved in a verbal argument just prior to midnight. When the victim attempted to leave, the suspect punctured two tires on the victim's vehicle with a pair of scissors.
The two men got into a physical confrontation over the events of the evening during which the suspect and the victim exchanged punches.
The confrontation escalated when the two men began fighting on the ground and it was then that the suspect stabbed the victim three times with the scissors.
The victim received wounds on the left side of his body. None of the wounds was life threatening. The victim fled the residence and tried to flag down vehicles on FM 528 but was unable to get passing motorists to stop. He walked to the fire station, which is located in the vicinity of Lundy Lane and sought help from resident volunteer firefighters.
He was transported to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital for treatment of his wounds.
