City names interim public works director
League City has hired Richard Oller as its interim public works director.
Oller is the chief executive officer, president and founder of Oller Engineering, a firm that handles water resources, new water rights, as well as the design and planning of wastewater treatment facilities.
His first day in League City will be on or before Oct. 1.
Oller has a master's degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University and bachelor's degree in sanitation technology from Southern Illinois University.
He is a professional engineer, registered environmental professional, certified public manager and is certified in risk management for water utilities.
Oller succeeds former public works director Larry Herbert, who left in June to become a navy consultant to the government of Kuwait.
