CCISD wants help naming two new schools

The Clear Creek school district is seeking the public's help to name two new campuses.
The intermediate school and high school will open in August 2010 at the district's Education Village on Texas 96 near Texas 146 in League City.
But before coming up with a suggestion, be aware the district has strict rules regarding the names.
Intermediate schools shall be named for geographical areas," according to the district's Web site.
And for high schools, the district plans to keep the tradition going to name them after a body of water preceded by the word Clear."
To make things even tougher, the school's initials can't be the same as the existing high schools. In other words, the word that follows Clear" in the new high school's name cannot begin with the letters B," L," C" or S."
The district is seeking members for two naming committees. Applications are available on the district's Web site.
Recommendations for names and reasons supporting the suggestion can be mailed to the CCISD Office of Public Information, 2425 E. Main St., League City, TX 77573 no later than Oct. 16.
Nomination forms are on the district's Web site.
