West Ranch to open new resident recreation center

West Ranch will be opening its second recreation center this summer.

West Ranch residents will soon enjoy even more amenities with the opening of its second recreation center, located on the growing south side.

Scheduled to open by mid-summer, the resort-style recreation complex will feature a competition-style pool, a lodge-style clubhouse with a kitchen and large community room, covered seating areas, a splash pad and a playground, as well as ample parking.

Overlooking one of West Ranch’s lakes, the new recreation center is also accessible via greenbelt trails that wind throughout the community. The highly anticipated recreation center compliments an impressive list of amenities in West Ranch that includes more than 60 acres of park space, 100 acres of nature trails tying into the adjacent Centennial Park, a resort-style pool and a fishing landing.

Located in the city of Friendswood and served by the Texas Education Agency’s “Exemplary” Friendswood Independent School District, West Ranch offers a prime location off FM 518 and new homes priced from the $250,000s to the $800,000s by Village Builders, Highland Homes, Coventry Homes and Partners in Building.
