Got a car? Better keep it off the grass

Be careful where you park your car in Clear Lake.
The Clear Lake City Community Association has agreed to ask the city of Houston to enforce a city ordinance prohibiting people from parking vehicles on their lawns or risk getting a citation.
The association represents the Camino South, Meadowgreen, Oakbrook and Oakbrook West subdivisions.
A stipulation of the ordinance is that homeowners associations that want police to enforce it in their neighborhoods must ask the city to do so, CLCCA general manager Leslie Alvarez said.
The association passed a measure to approach the city at a previous meeting, but decided to wait to see if any residents had concerns about it. Only two people did.
Everybody else was in favor of it," she said.
The association already has a policy that prohibits parking in yards, but decided to approach Houston anyway.
With our budget restraints, we really couldn't enforce it," she said.
