Regent Care Center of League City is a 194-bed skilled nursing facility located in the Victory Lakes Area that will be having its grand opening this summer and is need of volunteers.

Intended to provide better shelter than tent cities can, these homes are just 8 feet by 12 feet, but they can be assembled on site in an hour and provide shelter up to three years. The Homes for Haiti project is setting up an assembly line in League City's old Academy building.

Volunteer opportunities at Family Outreach of Clear Lake include facilitating parenting classes, providing mentoring support to families in need, and teaching children how to keep themselves safe in threatening situations.
