Taylor Lake Village City Council will consider prohibiting wood shingles on homes and garages at its meeting tonight. The Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department, which handles firefighting for the Clear Lake community, says cedar shake shingles are a fire hazard.

Taylor Lake Village is seeking volunteers to help supervise a moonwalk and giant slide during the city’s annual picnic on Sunday, May 23.
