Back in October 2009 the area's first cupcake bakery opened. In January it became more of a cupcake delivery service and as of Saturday August 7, it is now up in running in Bacliff.

    Some area restaurants let the customer dictate exactly what they get, how it's fixed and how much. For example, two new yogurt shops let you do your own confection, which is charged according to weight. The Naked Cupcake lets you start with an unfrosted cupcake and take it from there - or not.
