See who's filed to run for city council in League City, Friendswood, Webster, Nassau Bay, Kemah, Taylor Lake Village, Clear Lake Shores and El Lago. There are propositions to decide on May 8, too, and Clear Creek's school board has a contested seat.

Bats abandoning Clear Creek schools

Clear Creek school officials are sounding the all-clear signal on bats. No bats have been spotted inside any schools since Monday, and the plan is to start getting things back to normal next week.

Bats are back at Clear Lake Ninth Grade Center

Bay Elementary isn't the only Clear Creek school with bat problems. On Thursday one bat was spotted in a classroom at the Clear Ninth Grade Center, and another was spotted in its commons area. Precautions are being taken at four other schools as well.
