Police say pair's confessed to wave of graffiti

League City police say two people have confessed they're behind recent city's graffiti outbreak.

There have been 11 reports of graffiti in the last week -- some of it depicting male genitals -- and near the site of one incident a police officer spotted the pair.

Police Sgt. John Jordan said the two seemed nervous when the officer questioned them, but there wasn’t enough probable cause to arrest them at the time.

The detective assigned to the graffiti cases, however, interviewed them again later and got confessions from both, Jordan said.

The two have not been arrested yet because charges are still pending, he said, but warrants could be issued as soon as Monday.

The graffiti has shown up at restaurants, stores, office buildings, even the Newport Park playground.
