    Help Clear Creek students help Haiti

    Students of the Clear Creek Independent School District are pitching in to help with earthquake relief in Haiti. Can you help them help Haiti?

    CLEAR LAKE HIGH SCHOOL

    Clear Lake High School's student council raised over $5,000 -- and counting -- for the American Red Cross's earthquake relief work in Haiti. Lake junior Cassidy Hurwitz came up with the idea after watching news reports on the devastation, and students from around the district joined the walk.

    CLEAR SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL

    Students paid $1 to wear a hat to school on Friday, with money going to the United Methodist Committee on Relief. Sponsored by the school newspaper staff.

    CLEAR BROOK HIGH SCHOOL

    The French Club is collecting money for Haiti relief. PALS is collecting items for personal care kits, including shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste.

    CLEAR CREEK HIGH SCHOOL

    Dollars for Haiti were collected on campus Friday.

    WESTBROOK INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL

    Westbrook Intermediate students are supporting CAN, which is short for CCISD is Aware of Need. The two-week fundraising project will raise money for Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti through student and employee contributions.

    ARMAND BAYOU ELEMENTARY

    Pennies for Haiti fundraiser runs through Friday, Feb. 12.

    FERGUSON ELEMENTARY

    Donations are being collected for Hope for Haiti.

    WEBER ELEMENTARY

    Cash and coins are being collected until Friday, Jan. 29, for a Change for Change campaign. Each grade level is competing to see which class can raise the most, with the winners getting popcorn parties.
