The University of Houston at Clear Lake invites the public to view and discuss the 2009 science fiction film District 9.
This critically acclaimed, R-rated movie explores themes such as xenophobia and social segregation in a mock-documentary style on location in South Africa.
When: 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. Afterward, Stephen Cherry, assistant professor of sociology, will discuss the film with the audience. The film will be shown again at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6.
Where: Student Services and Classroom Building Lecture Hall at UH-Clear Lake, 2700 Bay Area Blvd.
Tickets: Admission is $3.75.
